Shelley Blair is so much more than a Certified Dementia Care Provider and an End of Life Doula. She is loving, compassionate, and passionate! With her unique skill set, she is able to connect on a visceral level with clients. We were so blessed that Shelley entered mom’s life 27 months before mom passed away from the effects of late-stage dementia.
From their very first meeting, Shelley connected with mom in a way mom understood and could relate to. Shelley was instantly mom’s friend, comfort, and beloved companion; with us all every step of the way. She brought joy, peace, music, light, and LOVE to mom and became part of our family; she brought a richness to mom’s life that we, as her children could not.
Shelley found creative ways to reach mom through the nightmare of dementia. She helped the long-term care aides not only understand mom, but how to best approach her, and how to provide and maintain the dignity everyone deserves. Shelley’s loving, healing hands and heart touched all of us, especially mom.
